Youcan place VRS calls through a videophone connected to your TV or through a personal computer with a web cam and high-speed Internet access. The deaf user and an interpreter see each other on the video screen. The interpreter voices the conversation signed by the deaf person to a hearing person who is using a standard phone. The interpreter signs the hearing person's conversation to the deaf person. Either a deaf person or a hearing person can begin a VRS call.
